Learn to sound out Tamil words for Nursery (N2), Kindergarten 1 (K1) and Kindergarten 2 (K2). Each word is broken into its letters (aksharas) — children hear each letter sound in turn, then say the whole word, with a picture and audio to guide them.

Tamil phonics — sound it out, then speak
Phonics is where reading begins. Each Tamil word is sounded out one akshara (letter unit) at a time and then blended into the whole word, so children connect letters to sounds and gain the confidence to say Tamil words aloud. The words come from the same Nursery, K1 and K2 vocabulary as the guided Academy lessons, with a picture and clear audio for every word.
